1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using UPSC Clear Cut (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and UPSC Clear Cut (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform. By continuing to use the Platform after any modification of these Terms, you accept the revised Terms.

2. Educational Purposes Disclaimer

All content — including current affairs summaries, MCQs, Mains questions, model answers, CSAT questions, essays, and policy analyses — is provided for educational and practice purposes only. Content accuracy is not guaranteed.

UPSC Clear Cut is not responsible for any examination outcomes, career decisions, or losses arising from reliance on Platform content. Always verify critical facts from official government sources before your examination.

3. Platform Access & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You may not share your account with any other person.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts with false information.

One account per person. Multi-account usage to circumvent plan restrictions is a violation of these Terms.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

The Platform offers free daily study content and separate paid products. Prices are shown on the relevant product or Test Series page before payment via Razorpay.

All payment processing is handled by Razorpay. Card details are never stored on our servers.

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Scrape, reproduce, republish, or redistribute Platform content without written permission
• Share your subscription access credentials with other persons
• Use automated tools to access the Platform at a rate that burdens our infrastructure
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Platform
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose under applicable Indian law
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
• Introduce viruses, malware, or any code designed to disrupt the Platform
• Circumvent any access controls or security measures on the Platform

6. Generated Content

A significant portion of Platform content is generated by automated systems, including Google Gemini and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) from indexed educational sources.

Generated content may contain factual inaccuracies, hallucinations, outdated information, or errors despite our quality-gate processes. We expressly disclaim liability for any inaccuracies in generated content.

You are responsible for independently verifying any fact, answer, or analysis before relying on it in an examination setting.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, question banks, model answers, essays, and policy analyses — is owned by or licensed to UPSC Clear Cut and is protected under the Copyright Act, 1957.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use Platform content solely for your personal, non-commercial study purposes. No other rights are granted.

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide to us may be used by us without any obligation of confidentiality or compensation to you.

8. Account Termination

We may suspend or permanently terminate your account, with or without prior notice, if:

• You violate any provision of these Terms
• You engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• Keeping your account active would expose us or others to legal or reputational risk

Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately. Terminated accounts forfeit any remaining subscription period. We are not liable for any loss arising from termination.

You may delete your account at any time from Dashboard → Settings. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, UPSC Clear Cut, its operators, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
• Examination failure or career outcomes
• Interruptions or errors in Platform availability

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranty of any kind, express or implied.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify existing users at least 30 days in advance via email or an in-app notice. For new users, changes take effect immediately upon posting.

Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those Terms.
